Van Damme visits Pacquiao in training

MANILA, Philippines — Seven-time world boxing champion Manny Pacquiao got a surprise visit from international action star Jean-Claude Van Damme during his training at the Wild Card Gym in California.
According to PhilBoxing.com, “The Muscles from Brussels” dropped by the Wild Card Gym in Los Angeles to pay his respects to the Filipino boxer who is preparing for his March 13 fight against Joshua Clottey.
“Van Damme was escorted to the ringside and introduced to Freddie Roach and Pacquiao by security chief, Rob Peters,” said PhilBoxing.com contributor Ed de la Vega.
Pacquiao invited the Van Damme to Texas to see the former’s fight with Clottey.
The Belgian action star became famous for his martial arts movies that include Bloodsport, Universal Soldier, Hard Target, Timecop, and Street Fighter. Before making it in Hollywood, Van Damme spent years training in martial arts.
Pacquiao is no stranger to international movie stars.
He recently met actor star Steven Seagal, who expressed interest in shooting a movie with him.
“We had a great time together. the time just flew by,” said Pacquiao after getting to meet Seagal.
“We discussed the possibility of working together in movies and making joint concert appearances,” he added.
Pacquiao has also met Sylvester Stallone, who became famous for portraying fictional boxer Rocky Balboa.
Mark Wahlberg, another action star, has also visited the Filipino boxer at the Wild Card Gym.
Pacquiao is also an actor in the Philippines having starred in several movies such as “Anak ng Kumander” and “Wapakman”. his foray into acting, however, has not been as successful as his boxing career. his last movie, “Wapakman,” bombed at the box office.

I am a nobody stupid. and I’m perfectly content with my name never ever being in the news. I’m content that I have a house, a car, a great business without having the public know who I am. who I am is irrelevant. My opinion is irrelevant but I make one anyway coz I have the right to make one. You fools just don’t get it and don’t comprehend well what you read. You’re making it sound like I’m trashing Pacquiao. No I’m not. if you understand what you read, you’d know I’m trashing ABS-CBN. I expect this kind of news from a tabloid/gossip/entertainment section. an actor visiting Manny has nothing to do with Sports. this crap was posted in a Sports section.
I am criticizing a supposedly well respected news agency who’s supposed to make relevant news.
The irony of this all is your criticizing me for criticizing and call me envious like I have no right to criticize yet you all do the same in criticizing other news that’s different from your opinion on the matter. an opinion that differs from yours hurts doesn’t it?

Bro, I think you dont know how popular our Pacman is. Any articles with related to “PACQUIAO” will give a good traffic to any websites that will post any articles about him. Pacman die hard fans are seems to be dying if not able to read any articles about him in a day. So most of the big sites will be posting at least one article about pacman everyday in order to draws the site traffic and improve their SEO ranking. and I am not denying that I am one of those pacman fans that keep googling his name just to give me any updates of him with regards to his latest fight.
Your criticism with regards to this article is somehow a childish one and perhaps contains some envious to either the pacman or the author. if you think this article is not good for you then you can leave it and you dont need to bother yourself upon reading it until the end word of this article. the author is much more knowledgeable than you and he knows what he is doing more that what you have criticized on his work. if you think you’re better than him then create your own blogs and make a logical comments about his work not that you act like the mayweathers who only knows how to trash talk.
We should be proud of our Pacman because he is bringing a lot of honor to all of us Filipinos and because of him our Philippines somehow exist in this world specially to those foreign people who dont even know where the Philippines located is. for us OFW, Pacman is our inspiration because like him we are striving hard for our job so that even in our very own way we can bring honor to our country.
And for your comment below about the grammar of one of the bloggers, for your information this is not an english class. as long as you can express and understandable by the other bloggers then there will be no problem. and btw, his post is having more sense that yours.
Becareful also because Envy is one of the deadly sin, and I doubt somehow you already posses that one.

tama ka jake ako rin ay dismayado na sa mga balita nitong ABS CBN . pag manunuod ako ng TV Patrol ay pang tabloid ang ipinamamalita. gaya ng isang mama nasagasaan tinakbuhan… isang lalaki nasaksak patay… sunogggggg….kung baga ay walang sustansya ang impormasyon na ibininigay.. kaya nabobobo yung mga nanonood lol. mas maigi pa sa TV 5 may sustansya ang balita gaya ng TEN. kaya kayong mga taga ABS CBN !!…ayusin nyo ang balita nyo!!. hehe di ako galit nagre request lang po… peace.

Selos? LOL.. Wala akong paki if I’m in the news in fact I strive to never be in the news. Mahilig akong magbasa ng news, mga pangyayari sa pinas at sa mundo at lalo na sports. Hindi newsworthy ang ibabalita ang bawat kilos at pangyayari sa buhay ng isang tao sa sports section. Like I said dapat sa entertainment section eto. Fight lang ni Pacquiao ang gusto kung panoorin at alamin, wala akong pakialam sa personal na buhay, kung ano ginagawa niya araw-araw, sino ang bumibisita sa kanya. Wala ako paki kasi hindi ako sinusweldohan ni Pacquiao. in fact we the fans (nag babayad para panoorin siya) ang nagapapayaman kay Manny if you think about it.
Naiinis lng ako sa ABS-CBN who’s supposedly a respectable and credible news company kung nagbabalita sila ng junk news. So binisita si Pacquiao ng isang artista, so what? who freakin cares?
